Kyle Vaughn came to do an inspection today for bedbugs for my elderly neighbor that I help out. He was so professional, friendly, and wanted to make sure he answered all my questions. He explained everything to me. He is such a great asset to your company. I highly recommend Orkin.

This review is entirely based on the service of exterminator Cameron S. Labar from the Syracuse, NY branch of Orkin. On 10/7/25, I called customer service to schedule an extermination for a wasp nest that had grown out of control after I was stung inside my home. I specifically told the representative that wasps were getting inside, affecting both my work and sleep. My office was becoming infested, and our bedroom had several stragglers. The rep noted that both indoor and outdoor treatments were required, scheduled a same-day appointment, and took my payment info. I was thrilled, as I’m allergic to wasp stings. That’s when I met Cameron S. Labar. He arrived 45 minutes late, I spoke with him about the areas, informed him to knock when he needed to come work on the inside, and he began his treatment of the exterior. Less than 10 minutes later, I received an email saying the service was complete and his truck was gone, without stepping foot inside my home. We followed his instructions and kept my office closed for 24 hours, hoping the issue would subside. The next day, we opened the office and found 30+ wasps swarming inside. Because Cameron ignored the indoor treatment, my workspace was unusable, Cameron was now effecting my day job, and we had to seal the room to protect our two cats. We called the Syracuse branch and demanded a same-day follow-up. Unfortunately, they sent Cameron again. He arrived late (again), cleared out the wasps, and promised to return on Monday, 10/13/25, to check progress and perform additional treatment. That very night, I was stung in my sleep, and my health concerns escalated drastically. I couldn’t sleep in my bedroom and had to move to the couch, as my partner and I were feeling unsafe in our own home because of Cameron’s lack of care. When Monday (10/13) came, Cameron never. He lied about scheduling us. We reached out to Morgan at the branch, who was kind, understanding, and admitted Cameron was in the wrong. She sent a different exterminator, Charlie, that night. Charlie arrived early, was thorough, communicative, and addressed every concern. His professionalism gave us some relief, and we cautiously returned to our bedroom. Unfortunately, by the end of the week, the wasps were back. On Sunday, 10/19/25, we called Orkin’s emergency hotline. No one returned our call until Monday morning, when Morgan reached out again to schedule another treatment. Sadly, she sent Cameron yet again. (Side note: if you call Syracuse and speak with Heather, ask for Morgan instead. Heather’s condescending tone made the experience worse for calling back with a simple follow up confirmation question.) Cameron arrived on 10/20/25, treated the interior again, and we brought up our continuing concerns. We asked if he had a scope or could inspect the attic to locate the nest. Cameron said his supervisor had one, and that they would both return on Wednesday, 10/22/25, between 10–12 PM to investigate further, treat again, and locate the source. It is now 12:30 PM on 10/22/25 as I write this review. No one has shown up. No call. No text. No email. Nothing. This is unacceptable, unprofessional, and dangerous behavior, especially after repeatedly explaining that I am allergic and that wasps are still entering my home. Cameron has consistently shown a lack of care, communication, and accountability, repeatedly lying about appointments and failing to follow through. I want to sincerely thank Morgan for her kindness and Charlie for his professionalism. You two are the only redeeming parts of this experience. But after nearly three weeks of fear, repeated stings, and empty promises, I am done dealing with the Syracuse branch, with Cameron, and with Orkin entirely. I will be reaching out to a refund. If none is provided, I will be taking this to the BBB. If you're desperate and Orkin is your only option, just pray they don't send you Cameron.

Jesse is the best! He went above and beyond on treating my new home! I am so happy that he was so thorough, I’ve used Orkin in the past in NJ but never had someone who took so much time and care to get rid of our bugs!! Thanks so much Jesse!!!

Kyle, my Service man was excellent. I wasn’t home when he arrived, and he did the exterior of my home. I called him when I arrived home and he came over within eight minutes to do the interior of my home as well. He was very professional, courteous, friendly. Kyle has my highest recommendation.

Did a good job - I had some initial issues with the original job but everyone was very quick to correct mistakes. Skyler, the Service Technician did a really great job and was very easy to work/communicate with. The inspector, Noel was very knowledgeable and did a great job making sure everything was accounted for, and that I fully understood the billing, job components, and any other questions I had.
