This review is for the benefit of any family looking to contract a pest control company for a rat infestation. In brief, look elsewhere. USS Pest Control's evaluation of the extent of the problem, proposed plan of action, and, most importantly, the type of bait used for their bait stations were a complete failure. Tellingly, USS Pest Control's on-sight service staff person on the second visit admitted that the rats had not touched the bait. He stated that that was not unusual and that more time is usually needed before the rats lose their wariness of the bait stations. The problem became worse and fearing the onset of the rats' birthing season, we decided to contract with another company. Their evaluation was much more expert and thorough, their plan of action stated that minimally 9 bait stations were needed instead of the 3 recommended by USS Pest, and they stressed after examining the bait used by USS Pest Control, that they were familiar with it and that rats did not find that particular bait, in their words, "palatable." Not more than 3 hours after the other company's staff person left, we spotted a rat coming slowly out of one of the bait boxes they placed, having a great time chewing their bait! Since their services call this past Monday we have come across 4 dead rats! It's all about the bait, they stressed. To sum up, USS Pest Control is out of their league when it comes to dealing with rat infestation. Look elsewhere!

Highly recommend these guys don’t waste your time with anyone else. I used a couple other local pest control services at my other properties elsewhere in Elmont and the service was no where near as good. Amazing job getting rid of a pretty bad bed bug issue I had with one of my tenants, arrived same day as I called, speedy service and as tough as bed bugs are to clear completely, these guys really did rid of them all! Even gave me a couple of courtesy calls over the following days to make sure the problem hadn’t returned which was a really nice touch! Definitely will be using them on all my rental properties from now on! Thanks again!
