I cannot speak highly enough about the service we received from Susan's recently when we suddenly had what felt like an army of mice living in the walls of our row home - it was terrifying (despite none of them actually showing their faces outside of the walls until the morning of our appointment). She would have given us a same-day appointment when I called if we were able to make it work but we had too much going on and scheduled it for the next afternoon. Maggie was our technician and did an amazing job. She walked me through exactly what was going to happen after she left (when the mice would start becoming more visible, how they'd react to the bait, etc) and I was still skeptical because there just sounded like there were so many. Well, every single word she said was spot on and after 2 weeks, we stopped hearing all sounds of them and after 4 weeks, Maggie came back for a follow up visit and all signs of life are gone! I am FLOORED at how fast this was resolved! I'd give them 7 or 8 stars if I could.

We bought a "fixer upper" home, and a mouse infestation was one of many things we needed professional help with right away. I gave Susan a call because her marketing/web presence is very warm and welcoming, and I wanted to support a family/woman-owned business. I am SO glad I did. She is friendly, non-judgmental, and knowledgable. As I was explaining the situation, she pulled up my address online and talked me through the likely scenarios given its location, size, and age. She sent Tom out to deal with the problem within a few days (it was a non-emergency). He identified likely entry points and how to seal them, adjusted his baiting approach because we have dogs, and answered all of our questions. Afterwards, Susan even referred me to a friend/client of hers who can help us with cleaning. This level of kindness and local knowledge is why I am glad I called Susan rather than a major national company.

Do not recommend for rodent extermination. Dont let good google reviews fool you, call a real professional. I normally like to hire local small businesses but this time it didnt work out even though they have good reviews. Susan was originally very nice on the phone when making the appointment. Her husband came to the house for 20-30 mins, dropped a few poison bags and blocks, stuffed wire mesh in two holes, and gave me a few sticky traps then left. That cost $200. If it worked i would have been ok but it didnt. Not one of the traps used caught even one mouse, they just run around them. I figured it may take some time to work so i gave it a few week but after seeing zero effect i called them back to let them know and see what else can be done. Susan said they can come back for a follow up. I just asked if there was a charge and Susan laughed out loud then became very unprofessional and rude. All i did was ask a question. She said there’s definitely a charge and wanted $70 to come back out for a follow up. Now I understand there is no guarantee in this type of situation but why would i pay additional money when their first $200 visit did absolutely nothing? I could tell she gets similar complaints because of her immediate overreaction when i wasn’t pleased with her work. I cant speak for their insect extermination but based on her unprofessionalism i wouldn’t recommend that either.

I selected Susan's Exterminating because of their awesome reviews and I wanted to deal with a company that was local. They didn't disappoint!! I would highly recommend them for any exterminating job you have. They are on time, courteous, do a very professional job and they charge a very reasonable rate. As long as they are around they will be the only company I use.

I don’t usually leave negative reviews, especially for local businesses, but this lady was extremely rude and unprofessional. My landlord scheduled an appointment for Today, Wednesday, October 8th at 10 AM. I had never heard of this company before, all scheduling was handled through my landlord. Around 9:57 AM, I received a call and text from Susan “to confirm” that I was home. I didn’t know that replying immediately was required for the service to proceed. Apparently, if you don’t respond within a certain timeframe, they simply don’t come. I replied around 11 AM and tried to explain that I had been home the whole time, but Susan repeatedly cut me off and said, “there is nothing we can do because you replied 2 hours later, I need to find out where he is at so that I can tell you when he can come back out.” When I mentioned I’d been moving and was tired, she interrupted again and laughed, saying, “I need to call him to see where he is at, do you understand?” I’m 40 years old and have been an entrepreneur for 11 years, you don’t speak to people, especially customers, in such a rude and sarcastic tone. Afterward, I texted her requesting a refund for my landlords after reading other reviews about their service, and she replied, “We had schedule service that you forgot. I have to circle back for you.” Awful! Please do not fall for the bait — she is rude and unkind toward customers. Definitely not worth the time.

First... sorry you have bugs and that you're reading this! My roommate and I had a pest problem and Susan was extremely knowledgeable and very reassuring and calming on the phone. We had an initial extermination done in November, and then she advised us to have a follow up spray about 6 weeks later. About seven months later, we had another scare--- very discouraging! I called Susan right away and she sent out Tom to spray again the very next day. He was very thorough and checked the entire house, and the price was extremely reasonable as a returning customer. The business is family owned and you can tell from their customer service that they do care about your bug problem. Would call again (but hopefully not...). Good luck!
